Intermittent UI Freezing on Salesforce in Chrome and Edge 153
We’re aware of an issue affecting some customers using Chrome and Microsoft Edge version 153, where Salesforce pages may intermittently freeze or become unresponsive across multiple workflows. We have identified this as a non-Salesforce issue. The incident was triggered by an external environmental change, specifically the auto-update of Chromium-based browsers (Chrome and Microsoft Edge) to version 153, which began around 2026-09-08.
Security Alert: Phishing Campaign with Malicious links
Salesforce is aware of and closely monitoring a phishing campaign appearing as fraudulent emails from Salesforce with a malicious link to download Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) software. Our security teams are working diligently to contain this issue and urge all customers to maintain a high level of vigilance against phishing and social engineering attempts, as these remain frequently used tactics by threat actors. If you receive requests from Salesforce to install RMM software, we recommend you validate its legitimacy with Salesforce Support or architect teams prior to taking action by opening up a ticket through the Salesforce Help portal. The issue impacts a storage service leveraged by the application tier to support data integration and caching for features including Custom Big Objects, Apex, Salesforce Connect External IDs, Login Forensics, Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail, and Chatter. Users of these features may experience extended response times and timeouts or be unable to access certain aspects of the features. The slow response times may increase the likelihood of reaching Apex concurrency limits. We're investigating the issue and full customer impact. Chrome 152 users may experience managed package applications or Lightning Components not functioning as expected
We are aware of an issue affecting Salesforce customers using Chrome 152 that may prevent certain managed package applications or Lightning Components on the Salesforce Platform from functioning as expected. Salesforce engineering teams identified the issue and is working on an expedited fix for fleetwide deployment during the normal release windows, including both Sandbox and Production environments. Solutions impacted: Ignite Education: Ignite On-Demand & Ignite on FHIR; Consumer Health Library; SWIQ; V2 & V3 APIs; Veterans Health Library; Direct to Patient Potential impact: As systems reboot, there's the possbility of very short downtime - 15 minutes or less. If you experience any issues longer than 15 minutes, please submit a support ticket. Required action: Please inform your end users of the maintenance window so they're aware of any potential performance impact. The updates will begin at 6pm Mountain, 8pm Eastern. We will post a notification when the work is complete.

Contentful SAML SP Certificate Rotation
The SAML SP certificate rotation originally scheduled for September 16, 2026 has been rescheduled to Monday, September 21, 2026. This change only affects organizations whose IdP verifies Contentful’s SAML request signatures using our SP certificate. If your IdP supports multiple signing certificates, re-import the latest Contentful SAML metadata before the cutover so both the current and new certificates are trusted. If your IdP supports only one signing certificate, re-import the metadata after the cutover to replace the old certificate with the new one. Users who are already signed in will not be affected. If your IdP does not verify Contentful’s SP signature, no action is required.
